The Women’s Indoor Football League will be coming to Lakeland, Florida on May 4th. It will be the fourth city of the 2013 WIFL Combine Tryout Tour, a multi-city search for the best athletic talent women’s sports has to offer. The WIFL is looking to build excitement and momentum leading to the launch of the WIFL football season coming in Spring 2014.
The WIFL (Women’s Indoor Football League) will be a professional indoor football league for women. They will wear full uniforms and regular helmets. The women will be paid to play.
What will set the WIFL aside from other womens’ leagues is that there will be a very high level of football played on the field. The focus will be on football, not on gender.
Played by top quality athletes, that get a paycheck for playing the game. The main thing that will be on display is their talent on the football field.
